1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Fantascores (fantascores.com), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service. How we handle your data is covered separately in our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of Service

Fantascores is a free football prediction game. It lets you:

• Predict the score of upcoming football matches
• Compete in a global league for each competition, against every other player
• Track your points, accuracy and finishing positions across seasons
• Add friends and see how they are doing

There is no money involved. Fantascores is not a betting or gambling service: nothing is staked, nothing is won, and no prize has any cash value.

3. User Accounts

To use our service, you must:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information, including a working email address
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Be at least 14 years old (the age of digital consent in Italy)
• Not create multiple accounts for the same person
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Share inappropriate content or spam
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Use automated tools to manipulate the service, or to submit predictions
• Share your account with others

5. Prediction Rules

Our prediction system operates as follows:

• 3 points: Exact score prediction (e.g., predicted 2-1, actual 2-1)
• 1 point: Correct outcome (e.g., predicted home win, actual home win)
• 0 points: Incorrect prediction
• One pick per matchday may be nominated as your banker, which doubles whatever it scores — an exact score banker is worth 6
• Predictions must be made at least 5 minutes before match kickoff, and can be changed or cleared freely until then
• After the deadline a prediction is locked, becomes visible to other players, and cannot be withdrawn

Skills are the one exception to the lock. Completing an objective earns a single-use token that lets you amend a locked pick while the match is being played — up to half-time, or up to the 80th minute for a Late flip. An amended pick scores in full on its new scoreline, and is publicly marked as amended wherever picks are shown, so nobody is fooled by a changed prediction.

Scoring is calculated automatically from third-party match data. Where that data is wrong or arrives late, we may recalculate points once it is corrected.

6. Leagues and Competition

League participation rules:

• Each competition has one global league per season, open to every user
• You join a league automatically when you submit your first prediction in that competition, or explicitly for a season that has not started yet
• Leagues cannot be created, renamed or deleted by users
• When a season ends its league closes and your final position is archived to a permanent season record
• Friendly matches are predictable for fun only and are never scored or ranked

7. Content and Intellectual Property

All content on Fantascores, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is our property or the property of our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Club and competition names, crests and colours belong to their respective owners and are used here to identify the matches being predicted.

8. Data Usage

We collect and use match data from third-party providers. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all match information is completely accurate or up-to-date, and a provider outage can delay scores, fixtures or settlement.

9. Emails and Notifications

We send two kinds of email. Account emails — address confirmation and password resets — are part of running your account and are sent as long as the account exists. Matchday and reminder emails are optional: switch them off in Settings, or use the one-click unsubscribe link carried by every one of those emails. Opting out takes effect immediately and does not otherwise affect your account.

10. Limitation of Liability

Fantascores is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to data loss, service interruptions, or inaccurate information. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your rights as a consumer.

11. Service Availability

We strive to maintain service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend service for maintenance, updates, or other operational reasons.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger Zone, and download everything we hold about you from the same place before you do.

Deletion removes your login and your playing record and cannot be undone. Your finishing positions in seasons that have already closed are kept under an anonymous placeholder, because a completed league table would otherwise become false for everyone else who played in it — the Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is deleted and what is kept.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes and continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Italy and any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Italy. If you use Fantascores as a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence.
